MC For 2 Days

I got MC for 2 days starting yesterday 11/11 and today due to my eyes got infection. Yes, my eyes was so RED and my wife asked me to see the doctor. So, here i am blogging from my bedroom. Actually i got work to do today at office which is to accept delivery and monitor the installation of 2 units Avaya Phone, how ever, i'll postpone it to tomorrow evening.

Gym Facilities

There's a gym facilities available in my office building at the ground floor (lobby) specially for staff use only. After a month working here, today i got a brave (haha) to try those facilities. Lucky at lunch time, no body using it and only me alone there. Quite impressive with the facilities even though it just a small room, sufficient enough for me. I try to target at least twice a week to do the work out. Excited since this is the first time the company i've join got gym facilities. I remembered i've joined gym membership last time at Fitness First when i worked with SCAN (before married, haha). The fees was quite expensive and now i got a privileged as a staff to use gym for free. Excited gila! Orang lain biasa2 je, haha!

Now i feel FRESH!

Finally, last 2 days, i got a reminder to collect a package at post office Sg. Besi and i wonder what, yes, my book ordered from Amazon.com has arrived and yesterday before go to work, i go there to collect it. Yey! After a year i want to own it, read here.

Currently, i'm reading : Security Monitoring:Proven Methods for Incident Detection on Enterprise Networks ebook. Very easy to understand and a good concept too.

I also waiting for book from Amazon.com to arrived at my doorstep which was i bought : Nmap Network Scanning: The Official Nmap Project Guide to Network Discovery and Security Scanning (Paperback) probably will arrive around mid of November. This is my first try to buy a book from Amazon.com. Hopefully it will arrive safely and still in good condition. I try to search this books from local bookstore, unfortunately, seems it doesn't enter Malaysian market yet, or i'm missing the store? Never mind.

And now, i'm enjoyed playing with GPS Garmin XT installed in my phone E66 with cost of RM0.

How to hire security analyst?

Well, I've got few problems here. How to hire new SA? Well, i have few candidates that potentially can work with me together build the new SOC. However, the problems are:

1. They absolutely experienced in shift work, however if they want to change the work environment, they would not want to work on shift anymore.

2. They absolutely experienced and now they want to demand the salary. Their end basic salary was quite high now days and if the company just offer them few hundreds only, would they consider? of course no!

3. Right now they might be in the level of manager/head/senior, would they want to join an MNC company with few hundreds of increment but as Security Engineer doing the task of SA? I don't think so.

4. HR of the company is not clearly describe the offer even though the hiring manager already state what is the benefits/base salary they can offer to the candidate. This could make the candidate confuse whether to join in or take off.

5. I also have a few friends that i confirm can work as SA with shift environment and without any problem to accept the offer, but i don't think they can perform and personally, their technical skill is quite low and their effort is none, duh! Hopefully if I'm desperate enough to hire them, they can change.

6. I'm not sure how to find a new candidate that have security knowledge and experienced and have a good attitude. Anyone want to try?

So, can somebody advice me how to overcome those problems?

What SOC Should Have?

What do i need for IR or SOC? This is the lists of what i got in my mind for now. If you have any other input, please share with me.

1. People - Of course i will need more people if i want to run the SOC 24/7. At least 2 people per shift if i want to run it on 2 shift which is 12 hours. Well, this got a limitation since we do have a head count.

2. Technology - We already have the technology which is SIEM, IPS, FW, CSS, USD (for ticketing/IR) etc.

3. Room - Yes, we do need room for SOC! It should be private and confidential area that can be accessed by authorize person only. It should be equipped by CCTV, biometric access, PCs (of course), printer, projector, LCDs etc. and i do think it should be a comfort room since people are working 24/7 in this room.

4. Documents - Yes. Documents such as SOP, SLA, manuals, incident forms, analysis forms, asset lists, network diagrams, shift handbooks, monthly reports, executive summary reports, shift schedules etc.

5. Knowledge Bank System - Yes, we do need this system which is can be run intranet. Such as data servers (inclusive movies/ tv series? hehe), wikis, forums etc. The shift handbook can also be in online format since people now days are to environmental like to save a paper :P

6. Training! (and knowledge sharing session) - Yeah, people need training to performing their daily task. Even high level manager still need recognized training. Not only for a specific tools training (SIEM), but include any security domain training too. Anyway, within the hiring process, we still need an experienced people at least have a knowledge in system engineering/system administrator/network, have the skills set of security, have the right attitude and got passionate learning new things.

The New Beginning!

Salam, yes, i have started working with the new company last 2 days on 1st October 2009. At that time, my boss is on leave so i've being introduce to others by Lead Security Architect. So far, the introduction is ok, people is ok, environment is ok (it just 2 days only, don't know what's coming next yet). Even though my department is attached under bank but my task will more focus for other financial company.

I got my task the next day, which is quite ad-hoc briefing. Well, not a proper one. They need me to plan how to setup the new SOC. Well, i need to plan the room, schedules, peoples, facilities etc. I will handle SOC team. It's a bit scary, but i will facing it and take out my fear away, huuu!

Need to apply parking space next monday. I have the ideas in my head already, hopefully it can be success and i hope all my engineers who will work with me later can give their fully support work together with me.

3.5G @ Terengganu

Yo, i'm now blogging at Anees Chalet, Kuala Terengganu using my TX1000 laptop with Nokia E66 as a modem and 3.5G (HSDPA) connection. Layan gak blogging sambil tengok laut dan nelayan baru nak siap2 gerak pagi2 ni. I've been here since Friday sebab tujuan menghantar my cousin akad nikah dan kawin. Ada macam2 dugaan sepanjang perjalanan ke sini tapi nak buat macamana, dah takdir.

I've been appointed as his photographer but still they have their own photographer kat sini since i need to follow my family la. Tak dapat la nak shoot posing dalam bilik dan outdoor. So, shoot akad dan sanding je la. Haha.

Well, semalam lepas kenduri, kami sefamili berjalan2 ke Taman Tamadun Islam berhampiran dengan Masjid Kristal. Tu pun penat gila since besar gak area dia. Adam sangat cranky sebab gigi dia sakit nak tumbuh. Kesian Adam tapi x kan nak tinggalkan dia. After that ingat nak jalan2 pegi pasar ape ntah kat kuala terengganu ni tapi cancel sebabnye dah lewat 5.30pm, pasar tutup 6.00pm. So,we went back to chalet dan mak, abah dan angah pergi Kota Bharu tido kat rumah Pak Lang sebabnya diorang nak pergi Perlis pagi ni. Mak ada jemputan ceramah. So, tu la yang berlaku pada weekend ni.

Update for my car, hehe. Aku dah convert bumper depan kepada Alfadana, tapi masih sangat typical dengan semua perdana lain.Takde option nak jadi berbeza, but that the start. Alhamdulillah, check ATM semalam, claim dah masuk around 1K+ juga, not sure balance keje 2 hari tu ada masuk sekali ke tak, kene check jumlah claim.

Ok, hari ni nak gerak balik, tapi tak tau lagi samada nak singgah mana2 dan check in satu malam lagi or terus ke KL menggunakan highway. Murni dah reserved 1 day leave so tengok lah macamana. Hehe. Just go with the flow.

Officially Unemployed

Mark today date as my officially unemployed start day. I have been tendered my resignation last month to pursue my career goal in another company. Yesterday, a few of my colleague celebrate my farewell with buka puasa at Sri Melaka Restaurant, Amcorp Mall. Organized by Shirley. Even though it just a small event compared to previous people who left this company, i still appreciate it.

About the restaurant and the foods. What i can said is, superb! The environment is nice. The foods is so yummy. The most i like was chicken (of course) sweet and sour and the butter prawn. Recommended for anyone who want to organize any makan-makan event. So, let's the piccas tell the story. Thanks guys, i will always remember all the moments we shared.

Dpt tau invited by facebook. Makanan boleh la tahan cuma masam (is it memang masam?). Lama sungguh tak jumpa semuanya terutama Pailang dan Merong, kebanyakan jumpa kat wedding event la. New Building. Old Company.

Hi, i'm blogging from a new office building at Bangsar South! New building but still in the old company. I'm so early today since i'm car polling with my wifey. Her office is at Sec 16, PJ and it just on the way, dropped me first. We took Metramac East-West Link Expressway rm0.50 toll, keluar at Kl-Seremban Highway, Masuk NPE, exit toll Pantai Dalam (U) RM1.60 and then exit at Bukit Kerinchi junction and walla, arrive at Bangsar South without a heavy traffic jam, however, i'm out from house at 7am. Haha.

I think we can use Besraya, masuk NPE, then terus exit Pantai Dalam (U) toll and exit at Bukit Kerinchi since the jam is after Bukit Kerinchi junction. Well, nice office setup but the privacy is not there anymore. Need to share the cubicle with new S.A but currently vacant. Never mind, only 22 days more, hehe. Will post the pictures of my new cubicle from my phone later.

However, i'll do the bandwidth test, quite impressive.

Well, ni just plan kalau aku dah kumpul duit mencukupi.

Tender Of Resignation

It's been a while since my last post here. Don't have much time to write but i got a lot in my mind need to let it out. Anyway, just to officially inform that, i have been tender my resignation (again) hahaha with my current company. I have accepted a new job offer with one of Fortune 200 Company which is also still in security line. I will give a notice of 2 months effective from today and my last day would be 2nd of Oct or earlier since i have a balance leave that can be used. My first day at the new company will be 1st of Oct so that i think i still can leave earlier from my current company. I would like to give a big thanks to my immediate boss, Mr. Kevin Wong and all my friends there especially to Hafiz.

I have been enjoying working with this company and i got a lot of experience even though it was a short time of period only (not a year yet). Well, life must goes on and i would like to seek a new challenge with better opportunities, better prospect, better dollar etc. Even though my decision still got a pros and cons, but i believe that there's a Hikmah beside what going to be happen and what have been happen before. Every decision I've made is dedicated to my family - my lovely wife and my handsome son just for their happiness. Thank God for the opportunities and i'm really grateful for it. Alhamdulillah.

My journey continues next 2 months ...

SIEM Products

It's been a while since my last post. Yes, the truth is, i'm so lazy to blog since everyday got problem to troubleshoot (it's not because of me but the Cap Ayam system), we are in the middle of changing the SIEM products to a better one. In gartner report, it's the no one leading and yes the functionality i will say it was number one products in the market right now. So i'm glad if my company approved to change all our customer to this new SIEM products.

As far as i'm working in security field, i have been playing and saw quite a few SIEM products that available in the market right now and i'm glad to have such experiences. I will list the products here which is:

1. OSSIM - an open source SIEM but not much product supported, for the new beta, the interface is quite cool.

2. Tanable Security SC3 - it more for batch analysis and maybe forensics and i think it's not suitable for 24X7 monitoring since it don't have any alerting system and just eye balling.

3. CA eTrust Audit - the concept is quite good but the implementation and architecture is quite complicated. Got a lot problem that i need to face and too much layer to operate and seriously, i don't like it.

4. TriGeo - quite cool product but still got some limitation and not meet my criteria as an analyst to analyze.

5. ArcSight - The most coolest SIEM product in this world right now, but the price is totally high, but still i will vote for arc sight to be the number one. So much function and features can fulfill analyst task everyday 24X7.

6. Splunk - this is not SIEM actually but it was a log collector kind of, but it can perform as IT search engine and relate to security log analysis. I'm quite impress how splunk can perform the search. It's like a google installed in your own pc.

7. RSA envision - The number two? ranking in the gartner report. Not yet play with it but i hope soon.

8. Symantec SIM - Not yet have experience on it but also soon, hopefully.

That's all and i'm glad that i have the chance to experience the top number of SIEM product in this world for today market.

Huhu, just finish up my first time filling in my tax info using e-filing system provided by LHDN. It's quite easy if you know what and how to fill in the blank but some of the box is quite confusing at least for me. With help from my friend, Kimi for guide me in filing in the box, i managed to finish and submit the form today. Thanks bro. I don't want to wait until last minutes since the due date is 30 April 2009. I start fill in the e-filing just after i got EA form from my current and previous company.

The tax summary by the system said that i just overpaid the tax, around RM1.5k, yey! Hope the LHDN will sent the money back to me a.s.a.p. Haha.

The tips is, collect all receipt if you buy books or magazines or sport equipments or life and medical insurances for your self, your parent and your family (spouse and kids) and all receipt from your study fee if you continue your degree or master or PHD and open up SSPN if your kids doesn't have one yet. Oh! And don't forget to pay zakat too! It's all counted and will help you reduce your tax payment to LHDN.

Yey, we're back from taken a holiday for 4 days and 3 night at Langkawi Island yesterday. Gonna take 1 day buffer day for rest at home and tomorrow will start the routine again as usual. I didn't shopping much but my wife, her mom and her sister do. The only things i bought was air asia cap (don't count i think) and the sun glasses hehe. Yeyyy! Today is Adam's 1st year birthday. Happy beshday my son. Harap Adam membesar dengan sihat, menjadi anak yang soleh, mendengar kata papa, mama, atuk, uwan, tok, semua makcik2 pakcik2, menjadi anak yang bijak pandai, dan segala yang baik lah. Papa dan Mama pasti akan doakan kebahagiaan, kesejahteraan anak kesayangan papa dan mama ni. Amin.

Anyway, Adam will celebrate his beshday at his skool (nursery) today since papa and mama have to go to work. Cake and party pack provided for Adam's friends too.

Tomorrow, 5 of us which is including Tok and Mak Lang will cuti-cuti Zoom Malaysia at Langkawi Island until Saturday. Yey! Hopefully all things going to be smooth and fine. We'll gonna celebrate Adam's beshday at the Island, yey!

6th Prime Minister

Good bye Pak Lah and congratulation as you got the title "Tun" as our 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia has tendering his resignation yesterday and give the position of Prime Minister of Malaysia to his assistant which is Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak. I appreciate what you have done to our country even tough it just 5-6 years only for you to manage our country. Yes, it's not that easy to handle the country when inside the country got a lot of politics ideology and agenda but i think you still deserved to be thankful by the people of Malaysia. Good luck and all the best for your future undertaking.

Congratulation to our new Prime Minister. Hope you can bring Malaysia to the new step further and manage this country well as you got 4th Prime Minister high support. Maybe the cases that involve your name it's true or not, however, i do care if you proven guilty, please step down but if you are not, please make Malaysia safe and secure. Please be a responsible leader as you should be like that of course.

Towards ISO/FF:2009

Hehe, nice title eh? This ISO is dedicated to me which is i put it as ISO/FF means Financial Freedom. Hoho. I have plan for achieving this ISO/FF. Currently even though my payslip figures quite ok for me and still we can survive, however still i'm stuck with many financial crisis such as edu loan, credit cards debts etc. Well, this is it. I will come out with my kamikaze plan to overcome my financial crisis and this need high discipline attitude and also support from people near me.

My initial plan was:

1. Eliminate all(if not all, 90% of it) credit card debts.

2. Eliminate all(if not all, 90% of it) loans including educational loan.

3. Save at least RM500-RM1000 per month from my monthly salary into ASB or Tabung Haji.

4. Invest as many as i can with any low risk investment such as Public Mutual, Fix Deposit, Unit Trust etc.

5. Any Ideas?

Even though i am not a naturalist, but at least i love my planet and this is the chance for me to contribute to save the earth from global warming instead of recycling that i'm not always do it. It's just take 60 minutes to switch off the light from anywhere you were on 28th March 2009 at 8.30pm-9.30pm. I know it's doesn't help much to reduce the global warming but at least, we done something to reduce it rather then nothing.

Update: Oh Alhamdulillah, they said they will hold the adjustment until next year, so we need to ready for next year. I do wonder, did they really do meeting before they announce it on the media or it just a game for incoming mini election? Hmm, anyway, thank you Government.

Phishing?

I received an email from "Maybank2u" that need me to login into the website and request for TAC. Haha. How i'm able to detect it was a phishing email? It's because:

1. I didn't subscribe my company email to maybank2u instead of my personal email. Yes, the email is going to my company email inbox.

2. The title was "Important Message from Mybank", see the typo. It's Maybank you stooopid!

3. The sender email was "Mybank [service@maybank2u.com.my]", yes maybe they use their own sendmail server or using 3rd party website that can create a spoof email address, but then, it's Maybank not Mybank you stooopido!

4. The receiver email is none, it' seems that they sent this email randomly. Hmm.

5. See paragraph no 4. :

"4. When you have received the TAC (Transaction Authorization Code) on your mobile phone, Log in to our secured verification server and submit the requested information(Account user ID, password and TAC).CLICK HERE to go on our secured server."

The link to secured server is going to : http://mail.gemacocards.com/www.maybank2u.com.my/index.html instead of https://www.maybank2u.com haha.

6. Of course when you click the link, Firefox 3.0 already help you to prevent you to proceed accessing the website. Thanks Firefox!

7. If you installed netcraft firefox plugin to detect any phishing site or where the site is belongs, you can see that the website is hosted in other country instead of Malaysia. Maybank is Malaysian Bank!

8. Another thing is, they do study how Maybank TAC being operated. They ask user to login first and click the request button, then Maybank will sent TAC number via your mobile number, then if the user not aware, they will enter the TAC number with user and password in the front page, auchh! Carefull everyone, maybank will not ask you to enter TAC in the front page instead of after you login to Maybank website.

That's all for now! Guys! you are intelligent enough to detect phishing email. Don't get fooled by them!

Wah! almost a month i didn't update my blog. Really miss to write something in it! Anyway, banyak juga perkara yang best dan biasa2 berlaku dalam hidup aku selama sebulan ni. I am now addicted to jobstreet.com.my and also attending interview, tatau lah kenapa, maybe sebab saja nak test market and saja nak prove yang walaupun keje sekejap je, tapi kalau ada skills, experiences etc. still boleh convince employer untuk hire. Haha. Dulu aku pernah addicted IRC, then addicted to blogging tapi sekarang addicted to view jobstreet.com.my. Haha.

Anyway, banyak juga company yang aku dah pi interview selama aku duk kat company baru after SCAN ni, maybe around 5-6 company tapi baru 1 company yang confirm nak hire, gaji pun boleh tahan besar dia offer, tapi bila fikir balik, route nak pi keje pagi2 tu, dengan jem dan tol, ngan workload yang bakal ada, aku refuse to accept. Tak kisah lah. Anyway, i'm waiting for another company yang offer quite ok la for the position. Since the location is too near to my house and this will reduce my everyday expense. Tak ada jem, tak ada tol, tak payah bayar parking. Stability of the company pun ok la. I heard they are interested in hiring aku but still only email je baru dapat, not a phone call yet. Just waiting for their call since they want to discuss more regarding the basic salary. Anyway tak kisah lah, tunggu je lah, ada rezeki insyaAllah.

Quite busy la dengan project sekarang. Anyway project ni diorang target nak finish and kick off around early of april, hopefully dapat la finishkan sebab aku nak gerak before May kalau ada rezeki haha. Keje macam senang tapi nak kasi up semua tu kene belajar satu2 since my colleague yang dari India tu nak blah dah (tender). Ganas mamat tu, dapat offer gaji RM9K, dem, tapi kene transfer ke Brunei 2 tahun. Anyway x kisah lah, dia orang luar memang senang dapat gaji tinggi2. Local je yang susah kecuali la dapat keje kat MNC. Ohh! Rezeki masing2. Hehe.

Ok lah, final project OUM aku tak siap2 lagi proposal, Project 1 dah terlepas due date, x kisah lah, aku apply balik la project 2 nanti. En. Roslan ni pun senyap macam tak active je, nak meetup pun cam ntah bila nak jumpa. Maybe nextweek kot since aku x jadi pi Penang, kan ma? Huu. Harap2 dapat la siapkan cepat proposal ni, aku nak grad! waaa!

Ok lah, bila la HR company tu nak call aku ni, isk isk, hahahaha. Sabar je la!

Hi, it's been a long time since my last update right? My famous reason is, i'm busy with this world (which is Duniawi in malay/arabic). Hahaha. Today i'm still at the office, need to backup syslog files that increasing so high and the linux is just a vmware server with 8.0GB hdd being setup, wahahaha, wtf! They didn't think or expect about this in the future will happen ke? huh! Really make me so fed up with this product also with the people who implemented it before! Anyway, i just copy the syslog files to other server and rm -fr the syslog files and restart the syslog-ng again and walla, go back home la. Demmit!

Double Prosperous!

Well, double new year, double prosperous to us, insyaAllah. 1430H and 2009M.

Yey! 2009 is just around the corner! 2008 ditinggalkan dengan banyak perkara suka duka dan macam2 lagi, but the most happiest thing in my life was i got my precious gift which is my Adam Rifqie. Hehe. Other than that, i don't care much to remember. I got new jobs which is i don't really like it but it's still ok for me to work as long as they pay my salary and claims every months, winning a 32" Plasma TV from my previous company family day which i didn't attend it, haha. Got new gadget which is new handphone Nokia E66. Moving to landed house from apartment which is much more bigger spaces. Huhu, so much good things to remember.

Anyway, for this new year, i hope my life will get more prosperous, happy family, God bless us and hope God still give us air to breathe. Well, just wait what the future brings. Thank god we still alive and kicking! More excitement will come in 2009!

Yey! Today is mama's adam birthday! yang ke 26, hehe. I hope you can be the greatest ibu mithali, isteri mithali dan semua yang baik2 lah. We love you very much mama (for me, it's my sayang! hehe).

Anyway, we had a great dinner last night. Oce, the best friend of my wife yang belanja makan. Location of the dinner, Chili's Restaurant, Midvalley Megamall. Anyway, thanks Oce for the dinner, we really enjoy it sampai ngantuk gila macam kena dadah, haha! Even though i just join my wife dinner, i really appreciate your thread, hehe. Mama, nanti birthday Oce, kene belanja dia pulak la, hoho.

Adam, hmm, he only eating his biscuits la, he cannot eat adult's food yet. And yes, Chili's food is not that healthy hahaha, got a lot of CHEEEESEEEEEE! i like!

Gadget&Projects

So much things happen to me lately, busy with work and life. I don't care much about work as long as i manage to finish my job. What i do care most is my life and my family. I'm quite busy playing with the new gadget in the house too! Yes, the new gadget is my new handphone since my phone now is going to die soon. Haha, nice reason haa! Well, actually we bought two phones. One for my wife since her birthday is just around the corner, and one for my self. It is NOKIA E66 model which is black for me and white for my wife. It's quite cool phone actually, slim, slide phone, got rotation function, wifi support, 3.5G HSDPA support and many more. You can read the review of the phone here. At first, i want to buy E71, however, thinking again about the QWERTY keyboard is so small for fast typing for SMS ~~while driving~~, then i choose E66.

Oh ya, Adam is also busy playing with his new gadget too which is horse+motor+F1 car, hehe. Bought by his mama at Ikano.

I have been pointed to handle the implementation of new MSS project which the client is one of our group company. They got 3 site to be monitor. One in PJ data center, one in HQ at Pusat Bandar Damansara and another one, i'm not sure where it's located actually, haha. So we have to deploy at least 6 IDS which is SNORT of course, and SIEM engine which is the collector already deployed in the PJ data center before. Well, hope i can managed it and this is my first big task, should see a lot of hiccup and mistake happen, but i'm learning from that, no body is perfect right?

Anyway, my final exam was finished last monday! Yahooo! Only 1 semester left which is for my final projects. Hope i get a good result since it was my last semester! Hahaha, happy happy! After that i can concentrate with other projects and any professional certification! Kwang3!

Blogging Mood

I'm not in a mood of blogging lately since i'm busy with jobs (really?!) and my baby and my wifey attention at home. It also because of the problem with my laptop wifi adapter keep on disappear like it never been installed before, but sometime it's appear and then disappear again, most of the time now it will disappear. I don't like to surf in front of my access point upstairs because of i have to plug in the UTP cable direct from my laptop to the access point port available, so i just bought a cheap Dlink USB wireless adapter for my convenient to surfing in front of my TV. As long as i can connect to the internet, never mind about the brand or the price.

I think, not too late to wish Selamat Hari Raya Eid Adha to all muslims all over the world. Last year i'm perform solat sunat Eid Adha at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This year, i'm celebrating this hari raya with my wife and my baby at my mom-in-law house, just near to our house. Before the hari raya, we went back to Arwah Uwan's house at Kampung Bukit Tempurung, N.S since my Mak Lang's family, Pak Ngah's family, Pak Uda's family and my family gathered. It's like the good old days. I don't want to miss the event too. So we just went back to Kampung for only 1 day. I think it should be enough for me since i already promise with my wife to celebrate this hari raya at KL with her mom.

I already secured En. Roslan (my network lecturer at OUM) to be my supervisor for Final Project 1 and 2 next semester. He available and accept me as the student to supervise, thank God. And from now on, i have to work on this final project before it's too late. I got only 1 semester to finish my part time degree. Pray for my success!!

ps: Hey, can anybody buy me this book? Nmap Network Scanning: The Official Nmap Project Guide to Network Discovery and Security Scanning. It will publish early next year but i want it NOW!!!

I'm planning a nice holiday at the island of Langkawi next year which is on 08/04/09 until 11/04/09. This retreat is for my family and include my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law too. Actually this also for celebrating my baby 1st year birthday which is on 07/04/2009, yey! I got a price of RM7/adult and RM30/infant for AirAsia ticket since they do promotion because of their 7th Anniversary Celebration. The reservation are from:

So, if you planning to go for holiday in Malaysia, why not to go to Langkawi. Even though i have been there for many times, but this time is with my wife and baby is a different experience then. Can't wait until that day.

Huu, i thought i'm the only person who notice about this, but then even in Buletin Utama also put this in the news. I notice it when i walk out from my home to the warung nearby to buy dinner. It was a smiley face up on the sky. I thought it just a moon with 2 star, however, actually it was 2 planets with the moon which is Jupiter and Venus. Nice! I try to took a picture using my wife digital camera, however it's not powerful enough to zoom that far. I would like to congratz my best friend, Pejai and his wife, Hainey for their new born cute baby girl yesterday 11/11/2008 at Damansara Specialist Hospital 05:05pm. Both baby and mother in a good health. Hope your baby will grow healthy and become a good and solehah girl. She will be new sunshine in your heart.

I visit them today at Damansara Specialist Hospital at lunch time, luckily my wife office is just around the corner. So i can fetch my wife to go together.

Points Update

A few points to update my life:

1. Work - nothing much. Anyway, i've got a chance to troubleshoot the system by myself and now it's getting clearer on how this thing working. It's not that difficult to configure or troubleshoot if you know how this thing operate, know which files to look for, where to change some configuration, understand the concept, know how the network design or architecture design etc. I hope nothing big come until the know-better-guy come back from his home town.

2. Life - A bit hectic since my baby was admitted again in the HUKM. Still infection on the lung. Hmm. His lung is not strong enough to cure by using his own antibody yet. My assumption was it because of the wind from the fan we are using and also the toys that he always want to bite it. I know it could be inherit from my asthma too. He admitted there since last thursday until now. From ER to Pediatric Ward to PHDU (Pediatric High Dependency Unit) then back again in the Pediatric Ward. He is getting better and better but still hear the noise from his chest. Hopefully he can be discharge today or tomorrow.

My wife is taking the leave to take care Adam in the Hospital because i didn't have any AL to take because i'm not a confirm staff yet. If i want a leave, i must take a unpaid leave and it will reduce my salary in the end of the month. However, for emergency cases, i do not care about the work and for me, family is always the first to think for.

I do wonder, how do they doing their business in the IT security sector if they don't think like the way security people should think which is SECURITY! I have a lot of comments but still under my probation. I will not put comments in here yet. This doesn't means i'm too good compared to them but it's all based on my working experience and knowledge that i've learn from experts in pure IT Security business company for almost 4 years.

It's Final Year!

Hi! This just to update my life right now. As u guys already know, i'm now working with the new company. It was really a new environment. Luckily, i got a-long-time-ago friend to be my "kaki" working here to go for lunch or Friday prayer or to attend any event such as Hari Raya Open House. So far, it still ok, too early to judge about the job scope, environment etc. Not sure next week since my colleague in the same team will going back to his home town, India for Depavali, around 2 weeks time. Fuh, hopefully no big problems will raise since i'm still new to handle the troubleshooting and i don't have any hands on experience using their system yet.

Well, i will get a new laptop maybe another 2 weeks, currently i'm using their old skool IBM laptop R52, nevermind since i will got new one soon, hehe. Need to read and study more about the jobs thingy. Ohh, i don't start any of my assignment for my part time degree yet, ohh! damn! Hopefully i manage to finish it before the due date, ohh! ohh!

Goodbye SCAN!

Today 7th October 2008, i'm officially tender my resignation at Scan Associates Berhad and it effective on today but still i have to go to the office tomorrow to settle down everything with the HR.

I've been working with the company since 17th January 2005 and until now, it almost 4 years. I have accepted a new job offer in one of GLC company but still in IT security field. It's not a popular company to work for but still, it was a better offer then what SCAN has offered me all these years and it's a great opportunities for me to improve my skills, knowledges, experiences also the basic salary, hehe.

I would like to thanks Mr Pokley, for submiting my CV, Mr Sut for meet up and accepting me as a staff, Mr Semey for being my "rock" boss, Mr Sk for the knowledges, Mr Abang and Mr Hezli for being the best buddies all these years, Miss Kak Ida for being a supportive team mate, Mr Ayoi for the good effort in improving the unit, Mr Bob for the crazy jokes and all my colleagues in MSSH unit and all Scan members, previous and current. It was a great exposure and pleasure working with the company as i've learned many things in it, yes lesson learned! I will miss the company and all of you guys but life must goes on. This is the decision that i've choose and i hope it was a right decision and hope i will not turning back.

I've also seeking for apologies to all of you if i've made something that may hurt you inside and out, please halal my foods and drinks. So guys, good bye, good luck and all the best to all of you. May the department will continue success. Trust in God, you guys can do it! Thank you guys! InsyaAllah, we will meet again sooner or later!

Long Update

It's been a long time since my last post. Hmm. I'm too busy getting ill. Aku ada demam, selsema, batuk2 sampai satu bandar dengar, sakit tekak, pening2 kepala, x larat nak jalan. Kelmarin wifey x tahan sangat ajak aku pi HUKM, dan diorang ambil darah = takut ada denggi sebab simptom dah ada sikit2. Alhamdulillah, result dia negative. So doktor arab-dah-pandai-cakap-melayu tu cakap aku kena pneumonia + infection kat tekak ke atau lung (aku x baper nak dgr time ni sebab slanga dia). Dia pun bagila berdozen2 ubat untuk aku makan berterusan selama 7 hari. So hari ni, aku dah rasa sihat sikit untuk bergerak ape sumer. Alhamdulillah.

Cuma, Adam maybe dah terkena jangkitan dari batuk aku. Hmm, aiseh sorry baby. Baby ni senang je kene jangkitan. Aku x leh nak dekat2 sgt ngan dia (mana boleh!). Lepas tu exzeme makin jadi2 pulak + ada kesan kene gigit ngan semut pulak, sebab semut naik atas katil. Maybe manis susu kot. Semut memang banyak sekarang, maybe sebab luar panas, semua semut masuk rumah, hmm. Harap baby ok la x lama lg, nak raya ni.

Banyak juga aku nak update, tapi macam malas + x larat demam tu terus kensel. Wifi dah on sumer tapi sampai nak tido x on2 pun laptop ni nak update. Huu. Untuk raya, dah dapat bonus raya RM1K, dah abis dah kena pow. Claim pun kene pow gak, huu! Tinggal gaji je ni. Hmm. Tengah pk camne nak buat bila nak gerak ni. Huhu. Nanti la try nego camne. Agak2 hari ni ada orang tak kat office ek? Hmm.

Update Ramadhan? berbuka kat mana? Tak yah la aku duplicate cerita, nak baca korang pi blog wifey. Dia dah cerita semua kat sana, ok. Lusa nak raya, rumah cam x kemas ape pun lagi, huuuu, cam malas plak, tapi rumah ni x banyak mana barang, so kemas2 skit2 settle. X de la sepah sangat pun aku tgk, ok jek. Ok lah.

Project : Training Modules

Hmm, argh! i'm to lazy to build up server for BTSWifi project, huhu. Maybe later, duh! However, another project need to be done which is i need to write a training modules for basic linux and basic networking for DAMS project. I have the details but need to convert it into presentation slide and modules. This project planned to start after raya, insyaAllah.

Need a strong motivation to start all these project which is = MONEY! huhu.

Sediakan suasana dan rasa selamat dalam rumah dengan memberikan respon yang positif setiap kali berlaku krisis dan permasalahan dalam rumah. Paling penting anda memberikan saraan yang cukup kepada mereka. Bapa tidak boleh menghalang berlakunya krisis, tetapi tindakan anda ketika berlaku krisis dan mengembalikan suasana normal, sebenarnya ‘mengajar’ anak menangani krisis. Jangan lupa doakan untuk anak selepas solat.

- Menjadi pendengar yang baik.

Sedarlah bahawa anak mudah tersesat atau terpesong dalam arus dunia. Dengar apa yang mereka katakan dan apa yang tidak terluahkan. Tunjukkan kepada mereka bahwa mereka ‘berhak’ untuk didengari dan diberi perhatian.

Beri peluang anak anda mengenali Allah dengan menunjukkan ‘keimanan’ dan amal harian anda yang selari dengan tuntutan agama. Bersolat bersama-sama dan jadi imam dalam solat lima waktu di rumah. Bawalah mereka bersama-sama menunaikan solat berjemaah di masjid. Selalu bercerita mengenai makhluk yang dicintai Allah di bumi dan langit.

ADSL In Da Haus!

Yey, streamyx is in the house! No more disconnected from cyber world. I now can check emails back, paybills that almost due and update my blogs! yey! For my planning to generate passive income, coming soon! The project will start anytime from now when i have a free time. Huu (seems like i am to busy wasting my time now! huhu).

I am using my old account of streamyx since TM said they can just transfer the account once you already have the account before, so that i don't need to terminate the old account and re-register streamyx account at new house. The only thing that i terminate is the fix phone line (even though this line also can be transferable too). I just want to use new phone number. I also upgrade the streamyx account from 512kbps for 60hours access to 512kbps too but with a unlimited access which is 24/7 combo. It cause me RM20 more compared to previous bill but right now, it's unlimited access so that i can use it without afraid of over budgeting the usage.

I am planning to create a passive income from my home. This is my latest project. My target customer is not that big. I'm targeting people who are accidentally accessing wifi scanner from their laptop at their home or looking for alternative internet access without subscribing to ISP by themselves. This service is limited wifi coverage from my home and the bandwidth is limited too (will upgrade if there have interested subscriber available). This is just a part time project, i'm not hopping so much for customer to subscribe but it will fulfill my curiosity of wifi users in my home area.

I will try to update my project frequently, depend on how active the project will running. Until now, what i have to do is waiting for TM and Streamyx come to my home first.

Since my wife keep on asking me to buy her a digital camera for her own use rather than using my old DSLR D70, today i have bought her the camera, Canon DIGITAL IXUS 860IS black rim. The price with package was RM1399, we got 1 original camera case, 1 extra battery, 4GB memory card and a screen protector. The price for this IXUS, based on their website was RM1299. I think it is worth to buy if you really want a digital camera. I hope my wife happy for this present even though this is not a Red Sony Cybershot T Series. This would be her belated birthday gift, it could be her future birthday gift too! :P.

Congratulation to my sister, Angah for her convocation at PWTC, KL. She has been taken the degree courses since 2003 at Open University Malaysia. Yesterday was her convocation after 5 years being a part time student. Huhu, finally!

I hope i also manage to finish my degree soon, insyaAllah next year perhaps. This coming semester, is the last 3 subjects that i need to take, next semester will be only 2 final projects and if i manage to finish the projects, i also can become a degree holder too! InsyaAllah. Do pray for my success, thank you!

Hijrah!

Yes, finally, this is the post that related to my Hijrah. Alhamdulillah, we are now in the stage of 95% of moving process. We have bring in all the stuff including our furniture using rented lorry weight of 5 tan and it cost us almost RM500, didn't recall the correct amount. Still left a few stuff such as begs and cloths, oh, also the baby cot. Need to find a free time to clear all the stuff and clean a bit the apartments. So guys, if you want to rent an apartments at Bukit Jalil, can call me for an appointment. The cost of rental is RM800/month. The deposit is 2+1+utility which is RM300 = RM2700.

I also will be Hijrah, not just moving from apartments to a house, but maybe including my career life soon. So, stay tune to find more about my Hijrah, ok?

Training Session 2

Yahoo! My second session of Linux Security Training has finished! It was a very good session since the audience were more active to ask a question compared to the last session. Hahaha, i like it much, either i can share my knowledge or i'm learning it too with others. If theres other training within this topic, maybe i need to revise back the modules since some of it lack of explanation and maybe i can add more info into the modules.

So, the rewards that i get from this training was, enhanced my knowledge and money for this coming Hari Raya hahaha. I like! Ok, nak pi renew roadtax untuk V6, adeh!

Training Session 1

First of all, yes, my baby has been discharged last sunday, and after that my wife take 2 days off for taking care baby at home. Now, Adam has been sent to nursery since yesterday because of my wife already start going to work and me too because i have training to handle. My baby seem to recover but his cough is still there, hope his cough will gone away soon.

Yes, the training for Linux Security Administrator was finished today for government agency. It was a 20pax audiences and their level of knowledge was quite good, not that beginner and not too expert. Maybe one step into intermediate. I was quite happy with this audiences since their response are good but the sad thing was, i got sore throat. Never mind. This is first session and i have another same training session 2 next week. Hopefully i can manage it.

Need to revise and add other info into the module for next week training.

I'm currently blogged from outpatient ward at SJMC (Subang Jaya Medical Center) via their free wifi. I've been here since this morning because of my baby Adam Rifqie was admitted into ward suggested by the pediatric specialist doctor Dr. Sofiah. Adam's fever was not seem to be cure, last night his fever going up reach to 39 degrees and yes, it worried me and my wife as their parent and we love him so much. Hope my baby will recover asap so then we will not being worried every minutes.

I will take an emergency leave from tomorrow until sunday since i will be working morning shift. Not sure when Adam will discharge, maybe tomorrow or the next day. However i will come to the office maybe tomorrow to check the training folder modules already there with a good condition or not and i need to make a 40 copies of the modules for training next week and another week. Huh, what a hectic days soon, well, for the RM1600 free just to share my knowledge with others, i think i'm ok with it.

Project : Update

House reno project update.

1. The extended kitchen was completed! Yey! Now my kitchen was quite spacious then previously. Soon to save some money for kitchen cabinet. DONE!

2. The awning and grill at backyard and garage was ~~90%~~ 100% finished. ~~They need to touch up a bit for the awning (wheres some hole need to cover up) and paint the grill.~~ DONE!

3. The extended gate, ~~they need to rebuild again because they do it with a wrong measurement before. Maybe on monday.~~ DONE!

4. The ground floor toilet, hmm, the reno was 70% completed, however, the toilet bowl got a bit problem since the toilet got congested. They need to clear it first before they can put the toilet bowl again. Still congested!

5. Laminate floor at the first floor already finished! Yey! The only things is need to mop the floor and we can move in soon! DONE!

6. Toilet sink at the first floor got a leakage at the filter, ~~need to change with the new one since the rubber already broken.~~ DONE!

7. Living, dining, stairs, ceiling and guest room need to be paint. Maybe hire a people to paint it or, i just paint it by my self, hmmm. Need a free time to do that. Ohh. 90% DONE!

Salary Adjustment

Alhamdulillah, new salary adjustment has effected me too. Less then one month, i got a new salary rate, syukur. Thanks to my Executive Director a.k.a newly pointed CEO for listening what the staff really wants. The changes was quite a lot. Hmm, i wonder do they know that i am looking for other opportunities right now? hmm. Yes, money will motivate people to work harder but passion in doing the jobs also can be a motivation too. So far, i think i'm not motivated by money (this doesn't means that i don't want big money in my bank account) but the jobs scope and working hours had unmotivated me. Yes, i'm a married guy and have a 3 months old son. I also have a working wife. So, it's a lil bit mess for me now.

I like working in this company but the jobs scope had unmotivated me. I like more on working hands-on jobs as a system administrator/engineer compared to analyst. I like my hands dirty, not just sitting in the box rooms 24/7 monitoring and analyzing SEM, doing a stupid reports thats not that true and unsocialized. Some people were born as a packets monkey and working as analyst is their passion or jobs for life but it seems that i'm not that type of person. I took this job 3 1/2 years ago because of the opportunities was better then what i got at that time (opportunities doesn't means MONEY only, but also knowledge and experience). After these years, i have been thinking a lot of doing my past jobs which is working with my true passion, same like my first career before. Still thinking of changing. Hmm.

Anyway, my goals to own more then RM**** in this company has accomplished! Thank you Allah!

32" Plasma TV

Yey! Finally, yesterday i got my free TV. Remember? Even though it is not a Sony or LG or LCDTV, but it still a FREE 32" Plasma TV which is Haier brand. Nevermind, atleast, this tv got 1xHDMI port support until 1080i, component port, surround sound support and it's FREE! hoho. I'm so happy. Compared to my old-loanfromdad-14"-tv, this 32"-free-plasma-tv is much much better! Hehe.

What i want in my wishlist now is:

1. Component cable for my PS2.
2. SVGA-HDMI or SVGA-Component (is there such a thing?) or just AV cable from my laptop to tv (which i lost it! dem!)
3. Home theater set, probably from SONY or Pioneer or any brands that satisfied me in term of quality and price.
4. Playstation 3 80GB, hohoho (don't know how long it will takes for me to own this, but i think it is quite near :P).

Project & Lucky

My new project which is a house renovation is going smooth so far. The wall for extended kitchen is almost finish. My contractor said that they will build the roof tomorrow for the kitchen. Me and my dad had done a basic white paint for rooms at second floor. The feature wall for master bed room will be red. Adam's room feature wall will be blue and my study room a.k.a hobby room will be, ermm orange? hehe. Need to buy 2 liters paints for blue and orange, tomorrow? My feature wall for living hall will be brown. I like brown. I like modern style, however we already have our own furniture that not so modern, maybe it will be a rojak style, hoho. I will try to take some piccas of the house soon.

I think i'm lucky enough because i won a ~~2nd~~ 1st prize lucky draw from my company's family day at Awana Kijal. The grand prize was a cash of RM3000 won by Azwan and the 2nd prize was a camcorder won by Ezrai, both were in the same department with me. Even though i didn't attend the event because i worked on that day, i still entitle for that prize. It was a 32" LCD tv, probably a LG or Sony brand, i hope it's a Sony, hahaha. Never mind. I am really grateful for that. Alhamdulillah. Still waiting for KSS to release the prize.

It's been a year now, that we've been a husband and wife, and we got a precious gift ever within that time, Adam Rifqie. I'm very grateful for married to my lovely wife Siti Murni. Susah senang sedih gembira dikongsi bersama.

Ada kala kita ada berselisih faham, ada kala kita bersedih, namun, semua itu adalah ujian hidup bersama sebagai suami dan isteri. Abang bersyukur kerana memilih ayang sebagai pasangan hidup abang selamanya. Semoga kasih kita takkan luput sampai bila bila. InsyaAllah, abang akan menjaga ayang dan anak kita, menjaga keluarga kita sebaik yang mungkin, selagi abang ada tenaga dan keupayaan yang dikurniakan oleh Allah. I love you so much ayang! Muahh!

Untuk ayang, selamat ulang tahun perkahwinan kita yang pertama. Semoga kehidupan kita akan bahagia, selamat, sejahtera selamanya, amin. InsyaAllah.

New Grade!

Alhamdulillah, syukur. Mungkin rezeki baby. Ingatkan dah x ada apa2 increment tahun lepas, rupanya diorang dah pernah buat revise tapi ntah ape2. Petang tadi, Head of HR call aku, minta aku datang office dia, ingatkan nak kene pi Arab, haha, kalau kene pi aku x mo dah kot. Rupanya panggilan rezeki. Aku dapat naik satu takuk gred. Kenaikan yang aku sepatutnya dapat pada tahun 2007, 2008 baru dapat, apepun Syukur. Backdated tapi bukan dari tahun 2007, backdated dari awal tahun ni je, hmmm. Takpe lah, better late then never.

Akhirnya target aku bekerja kat company ni dah pun tercapai. Tak tau lah kalau naik pangkat dapat kenaikan lagi ke tak kalau official, sebabnya, sekarang ni workload je naik, tapi offical letter takde pun, verbally je. Takpe, kita tunggu dan lihat macamana, mungkin ada hikmah disebalik semua yang berlaku ni. Baru la ada motivasi sikit nak datang office, hmm. Aku memang dah x ada motivasi dah sekarang ni nak pi keje, cuma aku fikir anak bini, terpaksala pergi jugak. Tapi kalau dapat offer pi MNC atau GLC atau better offer yang melampau, insyaAllah akan dipertimbangkan gak or thinking of joining new unit under MSS department like Zain or Ayoi's unit? ngeee. Bleh ke bang? hehe. I'm bored doing the same thing over and over for almost 4 years.

Cerita bab renovation rumah, aku dah dapat quotation dari contractor, dah agak dah, kos melebihi allocation budget. Nampaknya kena set priority yang mana lebih penting perlu dilakukan dahulu, discuss with wifey, nampaknya kitchen la yang buat dulu, porch terpaksa hold until further notice. Repair and paint kene buat, priority no 1 tu.

New Project: House

Absolutely not related to work.

InsyaAllah, we will moving in to a new house (not that new, 18 years old already la). Previously, my oldest sister and her family live there but now they already moved to Seremban, quite near to my parents house. It was a terrace double-story house at Bandar Tasik Selatan. Before moving in, i have to do a minor renovation at kitchen like extend a little bit (if got a rezeki, think to build a kitchen cabinet = modern style) and at car porch, need to tiles all the floor and maybe automatic gate and extend the roof, repair the floor, doors and paint the walls. I will do painting by my self and my dad, need to discuss with wifey what colors she want for background and feature wall. A lot of work need to be done. Our trusted contractor, which is trusted by my family, they done a very good jobs since build up my parents house at Seremban until now, will be the main contractor for this project. Need to check with DBKL for approval to renovate the house, hope our contractor can help regarding this one.

The reason for moving in is:

1. My sister move out, the house is vacant and my parent offered me to live in that house, my current apartment will be own by my 2nd sister.

2. Landed house, it was my dream house, don't care the location is, but i think, this area are quite convenient to our family. Our son nursery is so near, also my mother in law apartment too. Shop lot, clinics, Masjid, Surau, Pasar Tani, ATM, LRT/Komuter, Gas Station, exit to main highway etc.

3. I can save a lot of money since i can cut off the maintainance fee which cost me quarter of my current salary (damn it!). Fuel for cars since i can go to shop etc just using my feet or a bicycle (plan to buy one/two if moving in that house).

4. Bigger house with 4 rooms which can provide us a lot of space to place our stuff. After the renovation, we will get our laundry area at the back of the house, separate from the kitchen. I already booked 1 room for my own use, i can equip that room with servers, book rack and etc.

The total budget for renovation and moving in will cost me RM20k. Fuhh, there a lot of money involve, damn! Hopefully i can reduce it more. If the budget exceed, i will cut a few things that not so important such as automatic gate or tiles floor. Anyway, i'm looking forward for this project to be done as soon as it can be!

Oh, and yes, this house is still owned by my mother, however, all the budget for renovation, door tax, repair etc will cost my own money. I'm lucky for that which is i don't need to pay the rent, Alhamdulillah.

YahooooOooOoo! My team won the game which was Italy and they faced France (2-0) and Holand vs Romania (2-0) means that Holand and Italy was qualified to quarter final for Euro 2008. Italy will face Spain who the winner of group D. Will see about that, hope azzurri will be prepared enough and be a winning team until the final, ngee! Forza Azzurri!

Urgh! Minyak naik lagi. Kali ni naik sebanyak RM0.78. Dari harga RM1.92 menjadi RM2.70. Aku x nak salahkan kerajaan yang memerintah sekarang kerana aku tau, ini bukan salah kerajaan. Kerajaan selama ini telah memberikan subsidi yang banyak terhadap pengguna petrol. Namun penjualan minyak harga pasaran dunia yang menyebabkan ketidakmampuan kerajaan ketika ini untuk menampung subsidi minyak yang diberikan. Aku bukan pro kerajaan mahupun contra kepada kerajaan. Aku menilai bergantung kepada isu-isu dan faktor yang ada.

Tapi, mungkin juga kerajaan yang menjadi penyebab kerana terlalu banyak projek2 yang ntah apa-apa dan pembaziran yang dilakukan. Mungkin kerana terlalu banyak koridor yang perlu dibina tanpa mengira pendapatan rakyat sehinggakan subsidi minyak diperlukan untuk perlaksanaan projek koridor kerajaan. Memang betul koridor ini akan membuka peluang pekerjaan kepada ramai rakyat, namun adakah rakyat akan menjadi hidup lebih senang selepas itu? Kadar kos sara hidup pasti akan meningkat berdasarkan pembangunan yang dilakukan. Syarikat yang menawarkan pekerjaan itu pastu ingin mengawal pengeluaran perbelanjaan, jadi tiada kenaikan gaji atau bonus terhadap pekerja. Gaji yang ditawarkan pula adalah kecil.

Ada juga aku fikir rakyat yang bersalah. Membazir penggunaan petrol yang ada. Selama ini kerajaan telah memberikan subsidi yang banyak untuk petrol, namun apabila kerajaan mengumumkan kenaikan sebanyak RM0.30, rakyat masih ingin memberi komplen bahawa kerajaan menaikkan harga minyak sewenang2nya. Adakah rakyat tidak tahu mengenai subsidi yang diberikan? Masih tidak mahu bersyukur sehinggalah kerajaan memutuskan untuk membuang subsidi sedikit demi sedikit supaya rakyat membayar harga petrol dengan harga pasaran dunia yang tinggi? Heh. Ada juga aku dengar, pembangkang ada memancing undi untuk mengurangkan harga minyak sekarang dari kerajaan yang memerintah sekarang. Adakah mereka tahu nilai asset kerajaan sekarang? Bolehkan mereka mengotakan janji mereka untuk menurunkan harga minyak yang mengikut harga pasaran dunia itu? Dengan memberi subsidi? Heh.

Ya, Malaysia memang mempunyai minyaknya sendiri, namun, kerajaan menjual minyak tersebut kerana minyak di Malaysia memang berkualiti tinggi dan harganya mahal. Malaysia terikat dengan harga minyak pasaran dunia kerana Malaysia menggunakan minyak petrol yang dibeli dari pasaran dunia kerana harganya murah berbanding menggunakan minyak sendiri yang berkualiti dan tidak mendapat pulangan nilai untuk negara.

Jadi, daripada membuat bising komplen sana dan sini, mari kita berfikir sejenak, kenapa semua ini berlaku? apa penyebabnya? apa penyelesaiannya? Daripada asyik menyalahkan orang lain, lebih baik kita membaiki diri sendiri dahulu. Berfikir bagaimana hendak mengurangkan penggunaan petrol yang mahal ini. Bagaimana ingin berjimat. Pencarian kerja baru yang menawarkan gaji yang tinggi mungkin merupakan salah satu jalan penyelesaian sekiranya pendapatan bulanan anda semasa bekerja adalah kurang dan kadar hidup semakin tinggi.

Jadi, mari kita sama-sama pening kepala memikirkan penyelesaiannya, huhu.

Ohh, aku berjaya que di Shell untuk isi full tank petrol berharga RM1.92/Liter tadi kerana pada hari jumaat ini hendak pergi ke Penang. Balik nanti pastinya RM2.70/Liter. Ohh! Apa nasib!

Adam's Aqiqah

Hi, today is Adam's cukur jambul day! Alhamdullillah, just a small event which is include tahlil and doa selamat, also a selawat and in the same time, i'm carrying Adam to get his hair cut by all older people in the house. Thanks to all uwan and atuk for the gift. This event was a small event, included in the day of Pak Uda's kenduri for our family's side.

On the morning, i managed to attend a first tutorial at OUM, but i ask permission to my tutor to go home early since for Adam's cukur jambul. Actually, Aisyah also got her jambul cut too (adam's cousin).

Pak Uda's Wedding

Yesterday, the wedding of the year for my family happen which is, my Pak Uda's wedding held after 40+ years of waiting for him to get married. Alhamdulillah. All events went smooth, but when the aqad, he was obviously too nervous and can't do it well, however, he still managed to done it. So from now on, we got a new person in our family. Welcome to our club, Mak Uda Razalina.

The piccas will be added soon, after i edit a little bit of course since i'm not a professional photographer, hehe.

I just want to wish, Tahniah! Selamat Pengantin Baru and Semoga Berbahagia dan Murah Rezeki to my Pak Uda and my newly Mak Uda.

Linux Security Training

Alhamdulillah, i managed to finish up teaching a Linux Security Administration class. The attendee was from government sector which is i cannot disclosed it here. It was a nice class since they already have a basic knowledge about linux and security and they ask lots of questions. I'm quite satisfied with the clients, however, 4 days was a long days to teach a basic linux security since i actually can finish the class just within 2 days. What i do was, find a bit hands on training, ask them to install and configure the linux by themselves and the last day was a test day, also i finish up the class earlier, which is after lunch.

It was a tiring day since i need to talk a lot and think fast to teach this kind of audience. Anyway, can't wait until i get my claim which is a quite satisfied for 4 days training, at least for me who need to find extra money.

1. My mom (Hjh Khuzaimah Hj Sulaiman). You are the greatest mom in this world! I love you mom. Thank you so much!
2. My wifey, a newly become a mother in my family since a month ago. I know you had a very hard time when you giving birth to our son. Now i know how pain is giving birth since i will never feel it by myself. Just being at your side, then i know. I'm proud for married with you and i love you very much!
3. To my mother-in-law, who have helping me and my wifey a lot before and after. I know you are not that strong to all the jobs when my wifey in pantang, such as cooking, but i really appreciates your help. Thanks a lot Mak.
4. My older sister, Along, who already being a mother for 3 kids. I know it's hard to raise 3 kids in one time, but then, i respect your courage for that.

And the last one, i would like to wish, happy birthday to my sister-in-law, which her birthday was same with my Abah, today. Thanks a lot for your help and thanks a lot for being a good sister to my wifey and a good sister-in-law to me.

Back On Shift

Today is my 1st day working after a long holiday (paternity + annual leave + off day) hehe and i'm started my shift back. Yeah, theres some of pending issue that i need to look out. Well, i think i can managed it. However, tomorrow is my off day, hahaha! Another 2 days holiday, so i can spend time with my wife and son, yahoo! Then on thursday and friday i'm working night. In the morning i have things to do, at noon have a Kopitiam session and MSS meeting = bored!. Hmm. Anyway, my mother-in-law was living with us now, i'm glad she can accompany her daughter which is my wife, thank you so much mak.

Ok lah, tu je, malas nak lepak lama2 kat office, so bored in the office, maybe the news of the increment and bonuses make me wanna change my career path, my boy is waiting for me to change his diapers. Haha. No la, he waiting for my kisses la. Daa.

Alhamdulillah, our baby boy were safely born on 07/04/2008 3.37a.m weight 2.64kg at UKM Specialist Center, 2 weeks earlier from the EDD (expected on 21st April). My wife and baby were in a good health. Syukur, Alhamdulillah.

I'm really happy as i am a father right now. Hihihi! We were planning to put his name Adam Rifqie bin Akram. Will try to register his name at JPN tomorrow, insyaAllah.

Thanks guys for all the wishes and prayer. I really appreciate it.

Last Ketchup!

Semalam, wifey pergi checkup for the 3rd times kat UKMSC dengan Prof. Hashim. Maybe the last ~~ketchup~~ check up until she deliver. Aku amik annual leave nak hantar dia. Wifey dapat MC for that day dan mintak untuk hari ni sekali. Hehe, x pe lah, kasi wifey berehat 4 hari. Poor my wifey because she also got a fever, maybe infection from me. Sorry wifey! Well, the doctor gave her the meds. Alhamdulillah, check baby sihat. Jantung semua ok. Tapi ada 1 thing that worried me and my wife, well, not so much but still worried. It's about the baby position (OP). Well, i'll keep it low. If you want to know more, can read my wifey's blog. Do pray for our baby and my wifey. Thank you.

I've informed my immediate boss regarding my leave for final exam and paternity. Hope he can approve it with no issues arise. Anyway, that's all.

Asthma

I'm sick! Yes, my asthma was back, attacking my lung! Yesterday, i got MC from my doctor. Urghh! it's really annoying since i can't breath efficiently. I feel like a fish that was caught from the pool and hunger for oxygen. Anyway, i'm getting better and better right now. I have taken an inhaling machine at the clinic to calm back my way of breathing. I hate being sick!

Non-Shift

Today is my first day working with non-shift hour, temporary only. Yes, I'm requesting it to my immediate boss as i need to be standby for my wife if she got an emergency case happen and also i need to send and fetch my wife everyday at her office until she deliver our baby. The good things is, we can save a petrol for cars, i can spent time everyday with my wife and i can get back to home early. The bad things is, maybe i have to do a lot of new task, maybe i easily get tired since before this i have a lot of free time. Well, what to do, work is work, however, i need the flexible time to manage my family since working shift is not suitable for a married guy and a papa-to-be soon. I know i should not include a personal matters with a works but i am really desperate.

Anyway, thank you so much to my immediate boss for approving my request. However, we didn't get any bonus (or increment) this year, but still i appreciate your concern.

Midterm Exam

My midterm exam is just around the corner. On 14 and 15 of March. Thank God it's my off day, so i no need to apply any leave that day. However, i heard that i need to go to our client site (ad hoc basis) on the 13rd at 6pm for client installation testing. Hmmm, it's worried me since i'm not fully prepared for the exam yet. I'm worried if i get stuck at the client site till midnight same like the previous client and that's totally shit. Ah, let's see how it goes. Anyway, this is not just my excuse for not attending any jobs that assigned for me, i already put my schedule in my to-do-list section in this blog for a long time ago, but the ad hoc jobs is always hunting me. Hey, i attended the ad hoc meeting right?! and i'm not running from it. damn!

BN still won the federal government but the BA has conquer 5 states of Malaysia to form a new state government. It was a very shocked results but this what people of Malaysia want. We'll see how it goes. How BN control this 5 states and how this 5 states can get money to form a government by their own if the federal government don't want to support them. We only know how PAS rule Kelantan for so long, but Selangor? Penang? Kedah? Perak? Oowwcchh!

Sorry to the Prime Minister, your plan has failed! Anyway, i hope Malaysia will still remain peace, secure and the jobs prospect is still there.
